You also have access to a “replay quest” feature that allows players who’ve already completed certain quests to replay them with their friends for rewards and experience. It is also worth mentioning, that with patch 8.2.5 and the new Recruit a Friend program, comes the Party Sync feature. This account will also receive the benefits, but not any of the rewards.
This World of Warcraft account must be less seven days old, or not have had an active subscription or game time added for 24 months.
The 'New and Returning Player' account - This account is the account receiving this referral. This account will receive both benefits and rewards. This account is one that often will already be playing the game, and seeking the rewards that come from referring. The 'Veteran' account - The account referring the other player. In this guide, the two accounts will be referred to as: The Recruit a Friend program is a referral system for World of Warcraft, in which the 'Veteran' account recruits a 'New or Returning Player' account to either join, or come back to World of Warcraft. Although the benefits and rewards won't be available on Classic, it is still possible to recruit a 'New or Returning Player' account of someone that is wanting to play Classic, and receive the rewards on Retail, as both games share a subscription and game time.
The Recruit a Friend program will only be present in Retail World of Warcraft, therefore the rewards and benefits will be unavailable in Classic. This program has been in place for World of Warcraft for many years, originally being implemented in The Burning Crusade, and has been redesigned several times over the years to both improve the Recruit a Friend program, and include new rewards. Often players recruit themselves simply to obtain the Recruit a Friend rewards. The Recruit a Friend program is a system Blizzard has implemented to reward both veteran and new or returning players with rewards and benefits to encourage them to play together, and maintain a subscription.
